AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
Don’t miss the 2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, February 8-14 on Pebble Beach golf course, Spyglass Hill golf course and Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course.
The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is a 72 hole PGA TOUR golf tournament played on three of the world’s finest golf courses. Professionals and amateurs are paired in two-man teams and foursomes rotate to each of the three courses, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The famous "cut" is made Saturday night and the low 60 professionals and low 25 pro-am teams play Pebble Beach for the championship on Sunday.
Participants over the years have included the biggest stars in Hollywood, from Bob Hope to Jack Lemmon to Dean Martin … and present day stars such as Kevin Costner, Bill Murray and George Lopez.
The top athletes of the day have also competed, including Babe Didrikson Zaharias, John Brodie, Julius Erving and Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, John Elway … as well as Emmitt Smith, Tom Brady and Oscar De La Hoya.
The fun and camaraderie have not upstaged the championship golf, however. The list of past winners reads like a who’s who of golf … from legendary Ben Hogan to Byron Nelson to Jack Nicklaus … the list goes on … Tom Kite, Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Fuzzy Zoeller, Ben Crenshaw, Payne Stewart, Phil Mickelson, five-time champion Mark O’Meara, Tiger Woods, Davis Love III, and Vijay Singh.
